Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 7 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of SignSecure operated by Baltic AI SIA (“we”, “us”) at https://sign.baltic-ai.xyz (“Service”). By clicking “I agree”, creating an account, uploading a document, or completing identity verification, you (“you”, “User”, “Signer”) accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SignSecure lets you upload PDF documents, complete identity verification (KYC), apply an electronic signature, and obtain a signed PDF with a verification code. The Service is provided for lawful business and personal document-signing purposes only. We do not provide legal, tax, or compliance advice. Whether an electronic signature is legally sufficient for your document depends on your jurisdiction and document type — you are solely responsible for that assessment.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to contract.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials confidential.
  • You must not use the Service if you are barred under applicable sanctions or anti-money-laundering laws.
  • Guest signers may use limited features without an account subject to device/IP quotas; registered users receive plan-based limits.

3. Identity verification

  • Before signing, you must complete identity verification through our partner Didit. You consent to capture and processing of your ID document and biometric liveness data for verification purposes.
  • You warrant that the ID and face presented are yours, are valid, and are not altered or misleading.
  • We may approve, decline, or refer verification to manual review. Decisions are based on automated checks and human review where applicable. We are not obliged to approve any verification.
  • Login from a new IP may trigger an additional face-match recheck. Failure may restrict access until resolved.

4. Your documents and authority to sign

  • You represent that you have the legal right and authority to upload each document and to sign it (including as a co-signer where prior signatures exist).
  • You must confirm co-signing when the Service detects existing signatures on a PDF. False confirmation is a material breach.
  • You grant us a limited licence to store, process, display, and cryptographically seal your documents solely to provide the Service.
  • You are responsible for the content of documents you upload. We do not review content for legality before signing.

5. Electronic signatures

Your drawn signature and identity verification metadata are embedded into the PDF with a verification code. Third parties may verify integrity via our /verify endpoint. The Service does not guarantee that all recipients or courts will accept the output; you accept this risk.

6. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • Upload malware, illegal content, or documents you are not authorised to sign.
  • Impersonate another person or submit forged identity documents.
  • Circumvent quotas, security controls, or guest-upload tokens.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Service.
  • Use the Service for fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion.
  • Harass our staff or other users, or submit abusive appeal messages.

We may remove documents, freeze accounts, block IPs, and report activity to authorities without notice if we reasonably suspect prohibited use.

7. Accounts, plans, and billing

  • Registered accounts require a verified email. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a subscription basis unless stated otherwise.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated at checkout.
  • We may change pricing or plan limits with reasonable notice; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, non-payment, or risk to the Service.

8. Free tier and fair use

Guest users receive one free signature per device/IP subject to abuse detection. We may refuse service if we detect circumvention. Free and paid tiers are subject to fair-use limits; excessive automated use is prohibited.

9. Intellectual property

We own the Service, software, branding, and documentation. You retain ownership of your documents. You receive no ownership interest in our technology. Feedback you provide may be used without restriction or compensation.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, or that verification outcomes will meet your expectations.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Baltic AI SIA and its directors, employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in that period or (b) €100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Republic of Latvia law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Baltic AI SIA from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your documents, your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach, legal requirement, or risk to users or the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Latvia shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Material updates may require your renewed acceptance before you continue signing. If you disagree with updated Terms, stop using the Service.
